![]() Also very cool mechanics, robust mythic path.įirst - Azata - MG didn't want to like it because "good (chaotic)" again, but too compelling. Also "good" though.Īeon - Nice mechanics but foremost very good story.ĭemon - MG's first pick for the alignment. Gold Dragon - Ranked higher because who doesn't want to be a dragon, strong mechanics. Trickster - Fun for the laugh but doesn't fit the crusade plot & feeling very well. Lich - Nice to raise bosses and minions, strong mechanics, but not an interesting concept for MG. But very powerful.ĭevil - Mechanically boring and underwhelming, but nice concept and story to get it.Īngel - MG prefers not to play "good", so personal. Last - Swarm that Walks, low rank mainly because there are a lot of steps to unlock it, and because you end up alone and so a lot of storytelling and content is lost. He ranks them by how much he enjoyed each one and how good the accompanying story is. It's all a question of what your trying to play/get out of the path.MG admits it's subjective. But again if you're flexible you might want to try a Vivi build too. ![]() I would suggest looking up a Sword Saint build if you still want to stick with MAgus classses as an option. Gets access to Improved Improved Improved Critical line of Trickster feats to further expand the insane crit range of Sword Saint builds. Has full perfect BAB at 20/15/10/5 due to athletics 3. Can't be hit with conditions, because of athletics ranks 1-2 giving you higher effective saving throws and stripping conditions that get through your layered defence. Can't be hit because of high mobility while making attacks of opportunity everywhere, in addition to high AC. Sneak Attack damage to your already crazy damage. Make a Strength based Sword Saint that has all the benefits of being godly Sword Saint plus: That said, the more I look at it, you might as well go with arguably the best damage dealing melee char in the game: Sword Saint. You still get the use of the Spell Dance abilities though. One thing to note: The Spell Dance AC vs attacks of opportunity will be nullified by Trickster's Mobility Trick 2 and 3 now that I look at it. Originally posted by IKerensky:The three skill focus seems to synergise with trickster because you got 2 backs and trickster benefit from very high athletics and mobility and probably others like thievery too. Trickster Path itself will make up for the 3 less sneak attacks, but is it really worth if to give up 3 of them for 3 skill focus (When you really only need one or two? I'm not sure hot attacks of opportunity (and you're mobility trickster ranks) would funcyion with spell combat though. Rank2: "Reuse Magic Item: Wands you use no longer lose charges for use and you can equip any magical items possible, regardless of requirements. Rank 1: "Infuse Magic Item: Caster level of all abilities from magical items you use is increased by your mythic rank." Taking a Wand that has some type of touched attack would allow you to sneak attack with the spell too. The Spelldancer I think gives a mobility bonus, lots of fighter bonus feats to take and taking Rank UMD 1 and 2 will allow you to use wands forever without using charges with higher caster level. I can't remember what you lose for this class (and some parts of Magus mechanics in general), but as long as you keep the ability to use wands/spells w/ your melee attacks (Spell Combat I think), this is a good mix. ![]() If you're stuck on those specific classes/archetypes, then this is my take:
